Round 1 Team Selection

ROUND 1 And just like that, we are back playing on home soil against Gormandale Footy Netball Club.

A warm welcome to all of our new players and families. One game or one hundred, the minute you step through the gates at Cowwarr you become a Sainter and we will always have your back.

As a welcome back to Cowwarr all Cowwarr residents will receive FREE entry to R1 and to R4 30th April, where we will be celebrating our 125 (127!!) year anniversary, with a football and netball team of the century amongst other things. Lock this one in your calendar it shapes up to be a great night!

Thanks to Coops for all his work getting – and keeping, this happening.

It’s safe to say, an outstanding amount of work has gone into making today happen and it’s a massive opportunity for us to showcase our great club, our talent and what we are all about!

Home or Away the committee will be flat out keeping the day running smoothly, so if you see us under the pump, especially in the canteen, please be sure to lend a hand. A club is only as good as it’s people, so let’s prove why we’re the best club on earth!

There will be a minute silence before the senior and A Grade game today, as we reflect on those who we have lost over the last 9 months. In particular, Pat Burns, and our loveable larrikin Gary White. Black arm bands will be worn in all grades as a sign of our respect.

Good luck to all of our grades as you take the court and field today & let’s kick off 2022 with wins all round!

Tonight we kick off Season 2022 with our Season Launch party – Red, White & Black Parade. Be sure to join us in Emo Style with your black eyeliner and side fringe. Bus will be leaving Hotel Traralgon at 7pm – $10 Return.

I would also like to take a quick opportunity to wish our mate Pat Tainsh all the very best this Season with Sale. We are sad to see one of Cowwarr’s most loved footballers go & wish him well having a crack at a higher level. Have a great day today everyone & be safe on the roads. Mick
